Newborn Photo Shoot

When Weston was 10 days old we decided to do a photo shoot. We couldn't afford to take him to get professional photos, so we took the photos ourselves. It was pretty hard posing a newborn and keeping him content etc... We had a hard time figuring out the manual settings, but in the end we got a few good shots. He has already grown so much. Here are the few that turned out. The first ones are from my iPhone and the rest from the good camera.

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we went to NYU and had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. It was really nice of them to put it together for the students and their spouses. All of the tables were full, so we just ate on this bench with another couple from the school. The baby did okay, but got a little fussy. It was also very hot where we were eating so we didn't stay too long. The stuffing they had was disgusting, so we came home and made Stovetop stuffing. haha. It was a good Thanksgiving although we missed being with family. I hope you had a wonderful day as well! Here are some pics from my iPhone and our regular camera as usual. It's funny, it always ends up being from both. I'm sure you can tell which are which. ; )

Times Square/Empire State Building!

John's mom and dad were here last week and we wanted to go out and do some sightseeing as John's dad was only here for a couple of days. On Thursday night we went to Times Square and ate at the Shake Shack. It was very busy and very delicious! We checked out the M&M Store and got Weston a flat bill NY Yankees hat. It won't fit him till he's like 1 or so... but it sure is cute! It was freezing and kinda started to rain on us. Of course we forgot to bring umbrellas. Oops. The next night we went to the Empire State Building. We didn't go to the very top, but were still really high up! It was extremely windy, but so cool to see all of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey with unobstructed views! We took some videos/photos with our iPhone and John shot some pics with the good camera. Please excuse the messy hair and no makeup... It was really neat to see. We ended the night with pizza from Little Italy and came home and just hung out. Weston has done a lot of subway riding and sightseeing already and he was only 3 weeks old. It was so fun having them here! Can't wait to see you guys again for Christmas!
