Liz and I made necklaces again tonight. I think I'm getting the hang of it now... I think this one turned out better. I love Apple Green. I also had to throw in some cutie pie picks of Miss Carlyle. Now on to making different styles...

I Made A Necklace!

Those of you who know me know I'm not really a crafty person. Well I saw this necklace tutorial on the Little Miss Momma blog and wanted to try and make it. Some friends and I decided to have a craft day yesterday. It was really fun. It took us forever to make them but it was our first time. I think they turned out pretty cute. Not exactly the same as Ashley's but still cute and a lot cheaper than if we were to buy one. Click HERE to go to the tutorial.

Okay- I promise this is the last bedroom post. I added two more things I thought I'd show you. I've been wanting to cover some 12X12 canvases that I've had for awhile. Today I bought some inexpensive, graphic yellow fabric and finally did it. I put it above the bed. I think I like it. It was very inexpensive and super easy to do. John also accidentally broke our red IKEA Snille desk chair top, so I replaced it with a white top that was like 6 dollars! Score! Sorry if you're sick of seeing our bedroom! Here are a few iPhone pics...

I forgot to show you the bedroom where I took inspiration from. This bedroom is from Ish and Chi. Of course hers is more glamorous and fab with a real chandelier, but I think mine turned out pretty similar for much cheaper!

Bedroom Makeover!

With some Christmas money that I got, I wanted to do a mini bedroom makeover! I've wanted a new duvet cover for awhile and found the perfect one! My dad helped me hang my new faux chandelier and with some new pillows and white lined lamp shades. I'm really happy with how it turned out! It's much brighter and happier now! My mom and I had fun putting it together!

Venice Beach.

On Saturday we decided to go to Venice Beach. I'd never been there and it was suppose to rain the next day so we jumped in the car and went. The beach was interesting to say the least. There were quite a few "characters" there! We walked around the beach and the outdoor gym (Muscle Beach). John climbed the rope and we watched the skaters at the outdoor skate ramps. There were some pretty good skaters, but one little kid that had just turned 7 was rad! We couldn't stop watching him. We took some pics of him skating and a close up pic of him. Then we headed over to the Venice Canals. I've been to the part of the canals before, but John hadn't so it was fun to go explore them more. It really reminded me of when we were in the Venice, Italy. Such a cool little place! There are tons of different styles of homes. I guess quite a few movies have been filmed there. Each home, has their own canoe if they want to get around. It was a fun day! Here is HUGE photo dump of pics from our camera and my dad's. New Year's Eve post below this post...
