5 Year Anniversary

John and I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary on Saturday. We first went to IKEA and had lunch. Weston loved eating the meatballs and mashed potatoes! We looked around for a while then came home. Later that night we all went to Lupe Tortilla. We love that place! It's an amazing tex mex place. Weston loved eating the beans, chips, guacamole and tortillas. He was pretty good at dinner. We looked for a rom com to rent but couldn't find one. We came home and put the baby to bed and just chilled. It was nice to go out. I'm grateful for all the things we've done, places we've seen and lived, and for the great man John is. Best decision ever to marry that one. Happy 5 years John!

Scenes From a Birthday...

My birthday was really nice. Most of the day was spent relaxing and watching TV. John made a really yummy dinner with Muenster Chicken, Rice Pilaf and a Caesar Salad. I got a gift card to H&M to get some post maternity clothes from John's parents and some nice cards! For dessert, we went to River Walk Bar & Grill here on the Island. We got this delicious, decadent flour less Chocolate cake with ice cream on top. It was heavenly! It just melted in your mouth! I think I will be dreaming of this dessert a lot! I had a great day and felt special! Big thanks to John for making me dinner and being so sweet to me. I am very lucky! Here are a few photos according to my iPhone...

FOUR YEARS!

Today is our 4th Anniversary! I can't believe how time flies. We didn't do much during the day. I tried looking for doctors and was turned down by about 6 or 7 because I'm too far along. I was starting to freak out. Finally I found one that would accept me. I set up an appointment for next Thursday. I'm not sure if I'll like her or not. She got some bad reviews online, but I'm grateful I found someone that will take me. Tonight we went to the Riverwalk Bar and Grill at the other end of Roosevelt Island. It was really good! I got  a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup to start. John got ribs and waffle fries. I also got these Sheperds Pie dumplings. They were so yummy! Then for dessert we got these friend cheesecake rolls and Vanilla ice cream. Oh my goodness they were yummy! I snapped a few iPhone shots of the food and us. Please excuse my lazy look with my hair in a pony tail. It was just one of those days. I am so grateful for John and to be married to him. We are blessed and I am looking forward to having Duder Jr. with him. We look forward to our adventures in New York. I mean there is a hurricane supposedly coming here on Saturday night and Sunday. You can't get more exciting than that. Haha.

Fireworks in Malibu!

John and I had a great 4th of July! I had to work during the day and John studied for the Bar. It was a long, stressful day at work, but we had a great time that evening. We ate a fatty dinner at Islands, then headed to Alumni Park at Pepperdine in Malibu to see if we could see some fireworks that were getting set off from the barges off the coast. At 9:00 the fireworks started. We had a perfect spot with no one around us! Then 5 minutes into the show, a second show started right next to the first one! It was rad. We had the best view of 2 great firework shows! There were even more fireworks to our right that we could see if we turned to the right a little... We brought our beach chairs and had goodies. It was fun to go just the two of us. Well 3 of us if you count Duder Jr. Haha. I didn't bring our good camera, but I snapped some photos with my iphone. John took a silly video of me with his phone, and I took a video of the two shows. We missed John's family tradition of going to the Beach in Orange County for the 4th, but we had fun. Hope you had a great Holiday! God Bless America!

Valentine's Day!

Yesterday was a great chill Valentine's Day. In the morning I did some shopping with some friends at the outlets in Camarillo and ate at Cafe Rio for lunch, which I've missed so much! Then later I made John some Heart Shaped individual pizzas that I was saw from This blog. I made a batch with Pepperoni and Cheese then a batch with Pepperoni and Olives. I think John liked them. Then around 9 I went over to Liz's house and we all watched The Bachelor.  John played video games or something at a friend's house. Then we were suppose to come back and have Pizookies, but it was too late. Tonight we will have them! Yes please! John got me some beautiful, cheery flowers and I got him a "You got Jimmered" shirt. He loved it! He is obsessed with Jimmer Fredette so it was a hit. I call Jimmer his "boyfriend". Anyway, it was a great Holiday and I feel very blessed to be married to John! Hope your Holiday was grand!

Super Bowl Food!

For the Super Bowl this year we went over to the Shelley's house. There were 2 other couples that came over as well. It was some seriously yummy food, friends and fun! Thanks for having us over! I didn't bring my camera, but I got some quick shots of the food spread with my phone. This year John and I brought homemade chili/cheese dip, soda and Candy Chex Mix. I love this stuff so much! I thought I'd include the recipe I got from my mom.

New Years Eve.

So my parents and my Grandma came up from Utah to give us our Christmas presents and spend New Year's with us. For New Year's Eve, we just hung out, watched football and ATE ATE ATE! WE just fixed some fun finger foods/appetizers and then had a delicious dessert assortment! We stayed up until Midnight to watch the ball drop then toasted each other with some Mormon alcohol! (Martinellis') It was a fun night. It was nice just chatting with my family! Don't mind all the Christmas decor! Haha. I kept it all up so my parents could see it. My New Year's resolution this year is just one thing: Don't eat like a fatty! I seriously need to get my butt in shape! Wish me luck! Happy 2011!
