Scotland

John and I went to Edinburgh, Scotland last weekend. We went by train and it took us like 4.5 hours. Not too bad... Scotland is such a cool place! We only had a couple of days there, but we saw as much as we could in the time alloted. It is so green and beautiful there. When we arrived we went straight to our B&B. This place was so cute! The owner named Jill was this nice little Scottish lady who lives with her sister and two orange tabby kitties! It made me miss my little babe Carlyle! We had our own private bath and every morning we got to choose when we could eat breakfast and what we wanted. I was worried the breakfast would be nasty, but it was SO GOOD! My new favorite breakfast item: BAKED BEANS on toast! That may sound disgusting to you, but I assure you it is the bomb! Anyway, the next day we went to Edinburgh Castle! This place is rad. Then we went to see where the Queen stays when she comes to visit Scotland. There was this really pretty Big mountain that was a volcano at one point and John wanted us to climb it. I said no way! Then he talked me into it! I was DYING the whole time! I guess I'm more outta shape then I thought. Oh well. I'm way glad we did cause it was beautiful from up there! We saw all of Edinburgh from up there! The pictures just don't do it justice! We weren't allowed to bring take out food back to our B&B so John and I got food at this little place called Tony's Fish Bar. (2 nights in a row)! There were no seats at the place, so we started walking home and just literally sat down on the sidewalk in some neighborhood and ate our ghetto dinner! People probably thought we were homeless. John said He hoped that someone would walk by us and give us some money! HAHA!!! Scotland was VERY windy B.T.W. A lot of the outdoor pics you'll see my hair is all a mess. Kind of funny though. Anyway, the next day John and I went to The Nation Museum of Scotland. This place was cool and boring and the same time. I'm not really into museums, but there were some dope parts to it. Scotland was really cool and I hope we can go back one day to revisit it. P.S. One of the B&B owner's specialties is that she gives you this candy stuff that is AMAZING! I guess it's called Scottish Tablet? It's basically sweetened condensed milk, butter and sugar! It just melts in your sweet little mouth! You can get the recipe HERE. You know you wanna make it now huh? : ) Sorry for all the writing and all the pics this time! It's double the pictures I usually post for one trip. I know it can sometimes get boring to read long posts, but this is my way of writing a journal of our trip!
