Christmas According to my iPhone

We had a really nice Christmas this year! We were sad not to be by any family, but it was kind of nice to have our own little Holiday together for the first time. It was wonderful thanks to family. Weston is still too young to know what Christmas and Santa is, but I think he still had fun! John made us a yummy Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and we opened some new jammies. Then we watched Luke II. When Weston went to bed John put together his new big toys from Santa. The next morning Weston slept in until 8! It was awesome. We brought him in and he immediately went to check out his new car! It was a huge hit. We FaceTimed with family in Utah and CA, then we had a yummy breakfast casserole that is my family's tradition. We took our time opening present and enjoyed the day. We are very blessed and grateful for our Savior. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I didn't take any pics with the good camera, so here are a bunch from my phone.

Santa Pics 2012

We took Weston to our ward Christmas breakfast Saturday morning. They had a guy dress up in the ward as Santa for some pics. Weston was really tired by the time we got in line and didn't know what to think of him. It was funny. Here is a pic from that and some from visiting santa at the mall later that day. I was so happy we got some smiling shots out of him! He's getting so big! Last year with santa HERE.

Christmas Tree 2012

Here is our little tree this year. It's mostly made up of ornaments that represent our travels and or places we have lived! I also have some birds and owls on it. Weston is loving taking off the red balls and throwing them. I had to move up most of the bottom ornaments. Haha!

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (Recipe)

I always think about making these and FINALLY I made them today during Weston's nap. They were so easy and did not disappoint! Sone recipies have you chill them over night, but I was in too big of a hurry to do a recipe like that. This one was easy and delicious. Go HERE for the recipe if you'd like it.

Videos As Of Late

Here are some cute videos of Weston being Weston. He loves to walk all around and explore his surroundings. He's not the greatest walker in shoes, but he's getting better! Its so cute when he's outside, he finds the nearest rock and picks it up. He then taps it on the ground a couple of times and then walks some more, then repeat. John took him outside during church on Sunday and filmed him doing this. I think it's so funny and cute. He is growing up too fast! He also loves to play with his truck back and forth. He loves exploring his new found space in the house. His also new favorite thing to do is to push around grocery carts! He fusses until I let him out to push them all over the store. It's annoying, but so cute and funny. Oops.

A Few Christmasy Things

So we bought a house a couple of weeks ago! Anyway, more on that later. I also need to post about Thanksgiving. Anyway, I didn't really have any money to get Christmas decor this year, and I needed a little artwork above the mantel. I had this yellow foam board on hand and just cut a quick tree out of some wrapping paper and glued it on. It's not straight and not smoothed on the foam board very well, but I think it adds a fun touch of funky whimsy. I love the Holidays. On Monday we are getting a fresh tree. Yay! So happy to have a mantel for the first time and actually hang stockings etc...
