New Car

I recently got a new car! I'm so grateful and happy to have it! I've never had a nice car before and I feel so fancy in it. We sold my old Honda Civic to John's little brother's friend in CA. We decided to get a more "family friendly" car. It's a VW Tiguan. It's a small SUV. It's super fun to drive. Anyway, right after we got it the car wouldn't go into park. I was so annoyed. They fixed it and brought it back. The same thing immediately happened! I was really mad this time. They took it in again and had to order a new cable for the drive shaft. Apparently there was a bent cable in the drive shaft. It was in the shop for a few days and I finally got in back the other day. It's all fixed now. It was just a weird fluke thing to happen to a new car. Anyway, here's a pic of it. Cheers to a fun car!

Pumpkin Festival.

We went to the Calabasas Annual Pumpkin Festival. It was so much fun! The best part is that is was right next to our apt! So we just walked on over. In fact, you can hear the live music from our balcony! There were some great food and gift booths, and lots of fun crafts/games for kids. There was also a car show that was sweet. We ate a delicious Polish Dog and baked beans. Then on our way out we got a Cherry Shaved Ice. It was kind of centered around kids, but we still had fun people watching and seeing all the fun stuff! I love the Fall!

Blessed...

My dad sent me the pics today of the totaled car they were in when they got in the car wreck! I was nervous to see these pics and it made me feel really grateful that Heavenly Father was watching over my family. My dad was knocked unconscious and my brother Seth was able to somehow grab the wheel from the back seat and steer the car so it wouldn't go into the Provo river! I'm so glad the Volvo protected them!

Missing London...

Remember how we used to live in London? Me too... especially because right now we have some friends that are doing the whole "London" thing. I am very much missing London right now. This is the time we were there last year and having so much fun discovering a whole new world. At least I can have fun reading about their adventures and pretending that I'm there as well... I'm excited for what they'll experience. London is rad! I found this video that is awesome! They let 100 cats loose in the IKEA London store and filmed it. What fun British people are!

New Tumblr Blog!

Okay I know the LAST thing I need is another blog right? Well call me crazy but I created another little blog. It's on TUMBLR and it's just getting started. I actually created it awhile back but just rekindled my desire to post pics on it today. It just has little thoughts and or pictures that inspire me. I want to be able to go back to these pics later on when I need an idea and find them there. I guess I just love blogging and have lots of free time right now! I hope you will check it out. I Heart Costco!

While I was at work today John made a run to Costco to get some stuff we were out of. When I got home, I was happily surprised to see some beautiful Pink Gerbera Daisies waiting for me! He also had gotten me my favorite Kirkland Trail mix. What a sweetie! I started unloading the big pack of toilet paper he bought, and as soon as it was empty Carlyle jumped right into the big empty bag they were in. She was in heaven. It was pretty funny and cute so I had to snap a few pics with my iPhone. (Click pics for a better view.)

Game Day!

I'm not gonna lie... I don't think I watched the Super Bowl for more than 5 minutes, but I did eat all the food and enjoy the company! John and I had a few people over and had a good time. The best part is always the commercials/food for me. I was going to make some football shaped Brownies, but Carleton was already going to bring over some delicious brownies and Whitney and Chris brought over Valentine's sugar cookies, so we made Rice Krispy Treats instead. We also made this yummy cheese and bean dip. I didn't take a lot of pics, but here is most of the spread. I hope you all had a fun Super Bowl Sunday. P.S. John and I got called to be Primary Teachers today at church! I think it will be fun for us.

Just a little update...

I just wanted to say how nice it is to be back home in America! I truly had missed it even more than I had thought! We got back the night of the 17th, then went to John's parent's house and went to bed. The next morning we woke up and repacked a new bag to take to Utah. We left with John's mom to Vegas to attend his cousin's new baby's funeral. It was a very special, emotional funeral and it was nice to visit and be with John's family for a couple of days. John and I headed out on Saturday afternoon to drive to Utah to be with my family for a week. We have had a great time here seeing all of my family. I love them so much. I am looking forward to Chrismas. I hope you all have a great Christmas. Remember to always be thankful for the little things you enjoy daily.

Thankful

I got tagged to list down the things I am thankful for. What a great idea and reminder; especially to myself!

• John- He really is my best friend! I am so thankful for finding someone who is my better half. He means the world to me and he works so hard in school. I am so proud of him! He is so good to me and we have so much fun together! I love him with all my heart!
• My family- They are so great! I love each and every one of them! My family is so diverse and that is what makes it so entertaining! If you know my family, you know what I mean! HAHA...I have the coolest family and the best parents! Thanks for all you do for me! Can't wait to see you all for Christmas this year!
• John's Family- I am so thankful that I love my husband's family! I get along with them so well and they are such wonderful people! They do so much for us. I am glad they live close to us in CA! John's dad sends us a letter every week! I look forward to these letters! They did such a wonderful job in raising their kids! I love you guys!
• America- I have truly missed being in the U.S. Europe is great and has been a wonderful experience, but there are so many little things you take for granted that are in the States. Luckily, we are still celebrating Thanksgiving here with John's school! They are going to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal for us!
• The church- No matter where you go, it's still the same! I am grateful to be a member and to have the opportunity to go to church here. The church building is very close! I am thankful that we can just walk there. I believe that nothing makes you as happy as when you are living the gospel!
• Health- I may not be in great health, but I am healthy for the most part. There are so many people that are worse off than me!
• Friends- It's so nice to have people that care about you. There are some things that your husband just does not understand! I appreciate my friends and love hanging out with them! Besides, who else would watch Twilight with me? ; )
• Traveling-It has been a very good experience overall. There have been a lot of hassles, and expenses to get here, and by being here and traveling, but I think it has broadened my horizons and I have come to appreciate life more. I have seen and done some amazing things here that I will cherish forever. I am so thankful we came here!

These are just a few of the things I am thankful for! I encourage everyone to write down what you are thankful for. Sometimes you feel so down and think you are having a hard time in life. If you think of all the good things in your life, it will make you feel better! What are you thankful for?

My parents are flying into London tomorrow! I'm so excited!

New Camera finally!!!

We finally got a new camera! It is a Canon EOS Rebel T1i- 15.1 MP Digital SLR Camera! It is also an HD video recorder! Yah for us! We ordered it just earlier today online! We have a really old, sucky digital camera right now, so we are stoked to have a really nice one just in time for EUROPE! Literally! In fact, we had to overnight it so it would get here en tiempo! We will buy a doper lens later on in our lives...Say, in less than a year...but for now, the lens it comes with will do. Of course we couldn't afford even just the camera right now, but heck, that's what our ol' pal CapitalOne is for! RIGHT? : ) It will arrive tomorrow, and I'm so excited to learn how to use it! No more crappy iphone pics on here. (your eyes will thank me...) j/k...

Lazy Last Couple of Weeks...

I just love this little thing. She brings a smile to my face whenever I see her. She sure loves to sleep a lot. I'm taking as many pics as I can of her cause we won't get to see her for 4 months. It makes me sad to think about that. She will be in good hands though. If Kuma (their dog) doesn't eat her while we're gone. : )

We had a great time last week in Utah going to Brian Head and staying at John's Uncle's cabin up in the mountains. Then we headed to Provo for a couple of days so that John's parent's could get some missionary stuff for his little brother who heads on a mission in less than a month! I got to see my family one last time before we go. It was really fun! This week we are just being lazy at John's parents house. It's just so nice not having to work! HAHA. If only not working would pay the bills? Right?

New bangs + a Contest post for Marie!

I have been wanting to cut my bangs blunt for a long time! I have had the same swoop bangs for like 5 years! I like them but was really wanting a change! My friend Sarah cut them and colored my hair for me last night! I am still getting used to them but I was so in the mood for a change! What do you think? Do you like them better swooped or blunt?

WHAT A DEAL!

I always ♥ me a good deal! I have been clipping coupons lately and I try and apply them when I go shopping. Sometimes I forget to bring them or they don't work on what I'm getting etc.. but today I decided to go to Target and apply some of these coupons. I saved $14.08 today with my coupons! I got a bunch of Goldfish Crackers for only $.79 each with the $1.00 off coupons that I printed online. I got a bag of Chex Mix, 2 packages of Granola Bars and 3 different Cereals and some lightbulbs. I also got some white rice and some Rice a Roni type stuff. And my guilty pleasure was 3 bags of CADBURY MINI EGGS!!! These eggs are of the devil! They are so delicious! I had a $1.50 coupon off 3 bags of them so I got 3! ; ) I spent $29.34 Total! Not too shabby! It's kind of a pain clipping and finding coupons but it's totally worth it when you end up spending less! GO ME! Thanks to my friend Lisa who inspired me to use coupons!

Photo Shoot!

A couple weeks ago Mike Cunningham took photos of the Crisp Family and some individual shots of us. He took them at the Huntington Beach Civic Center. It is actually under construction right now so it made for some rad shots. It was a little chilly and the wind was blowing, but despite that we all had a great time! (His parents are using one of the groups shots for their New Year's card this year!) I am so grateful we got copies of all the photos! Thanks Mike! He was so talented, fun and artsy!
