Lower Manhattan Touring

John's friend Jeff was staying with us for a couple of days. He wanted to go check out Lower Manhattan. He was only here for a limited amount of time so we thought he could see a lot of stuff there. We met him at the World Trade Centers. The 10 year anniversary is this Sunday so there is a lot of hoopla and media there right now. They are almost all done building them. It was really cool to see them. The last time I was there was a few months after it happened and was Ground Zero. They are opening a Memorial on Monday that you can get free tickets to. When John's parents come to meet the baby we wanna go and see it. Just for fun we wanted to get pics with the firemen and policemen. They were very kind to comply. Then we walked around Wall Street and the Financial District. We went to the Ship yard and Earth Wind and Fire were playing an outdoor show. It was funny to see how into them everyone was. It was a fun day and didn't rain like it was suppose to. Thanks for coming to visit Jeff!

Baby Bump

Just to document, here is my 33.5 week belly shot taken on Monday. I look like I am totally flat chested. I think I wore the wrong bra. Oops! ; ) I can't believe that tomorrow I will be 34 Weeks! I guess we better buy a crib soon? HaHa. John's friend Jeff is visiting us from Utah and he bought these mints. I thought the packaging was cute with the Statue of Liberty on it.

NYC Apartment!

We are almost all done with our apartment. There are some boxes left to unpack and some more furniture pieces to put together, but we are pretty much done. We had 5 big carts at IKEA. It was quite the sight! It makes me laugh seeing the pic of all the boxes! My mom, dad, and I worked like dogs to get it basically finished before they took off. My dad put together all the furniture while John was at school and my mom and I did the finishing touches. My dad put up the curtain rods and helped hang the pictures. I love how different this apartment looks than all of our other ones. It feels like a "city" apartment. It's tight in the bedroom, but the kitchen/living room has plenty of space in it. I am loving it so far. I'm so grateful for my parents and all the help they gave us! I went to the doctor today and she was better/nicer than I thought she would be considering her bad reviews online. She was a little worried that my stomach was measuring small, so she sent us next door to get an ultra sound to see how much the baby weighs. It had me a little worried. We went and had the ultra sound after waiting almost 2 hours to be seen. So annoying... They said he looked good and he is weighing 4.7 pounds. So I am glad he is growing normal. I will post pics later when it gets all finished. I hope you like it!
