Times Square/Empire State Building!

John's mom and dad were here last week and we wanted to go out and do some sightseeing as John's dad was only here for a couple of days. On Thursday night we went to Times Square and ate at the Shake Shack. It was very busy and very delicious! We checked out the M&M Store and got Weston a flat bill NY Yankees hat. It won't fit him till he's like 1 or so... but it sure is cute! It was freezing and kinda started to rain on us. Of course we forgot to bring umbrellas. Oops. The next night we went to the Empire State Building. We didn't go to the very top, but were still really high up! It was extremely windy, but so cool to see all of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey with unobstructed views! We took some videos/photos with our iPhone and John shot some pics with the good camera. Please excuse the messy hair and no makeup... It was really neat to see. We ended the night with pizza from Little Italy and came home and just hung out. Weston has done a lot of subway riding and sightseeing already and he was only 3 weeks old. It was so fun having them here! Can't wait to see you guys again for Christmas!

9-11 Memorial

Today we went with John's mom to the 9-11 Memorial. I forgot our good camera. Oops! Thank goodness for the iPhone. It was really neat to go see! It was so humbling to see all the names on the fountains of those we lost that day. The two fountains were enormous! I didn't think they would be so huge! They built the two fountains right where the two towers went down. It was our first family outing and Weston slept like a champ. Then we went to Wall Street to check out all the Occupy Wall Street people. It was ridiculous to see all the tents and signs and hippies. I just don't get it. Anyway, it was a fun day. It's funny cause today was the first time I put on any make up for like 3 or 4 weeks... I am also getting my hair highlighted tomorrow... which is way overdue. I am also wearing John's jacket. I was too lazy to get mine out when I got chilly. Now that that's out of the way...

First Halloween!

For Halloween this year we didn't do too much. We took him to the pediatrician in the morning and he got weighed. He left the Hospital weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. A week and a half later he was 8 lbs! That's my boy! He's a chunk! While he was naked and about to be weighed he peed all over the scale! John picked him up while I was cleaning the scale and then he pooped all over John and the floor! It was hilarious! What a little stinker! In the afternoon John had to go to school and I just stayed home. We had a nice meal brought to us and that was about it. Weston dressed up as a skeleton. Next year will be really fun when we can take him Trick or Treating! Hope you had a great Halloween!
