Mother's Day

This was my first official Mother's Day. John wrote me a really sweet card and I just enjoyed the day with Weston by myself. We went to sacrament only because Weston was throwing a fit and needed to take a nap. Oh the joys of parenthood... John was gone all day yesterday studying for finals! Boo! I cannot wait until he is done! He takes his LAST FINAL EVER tomorrow morning! I am so proud of all his hard work and dedication! Thanks John for making me a wife and mom! I love being a mom to Weston. It makes me appreciate my mom even more! I'm grateful for her good example! I'm so glad to have John's mom in my life as well. She's a wonderful person! Motherhood is very hard at times and I lose my patience, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love you Weston!

Mom's Visit

My mom came to NY for a visit with us. It was so much fun! My cousin got married in D.C. on Saturday so she stopped by here first. We did some shopping and sight seeing. The first day we went to the 9/11 Memorial. I had been already, but my mom hadn't and wanted to see it. It's so cool. We saw some other sights around Wall Street. The next few days we checkout out some thrift shops, visited John at school, and went to some other home decor places. John wouldn't want to do this with me so it was nice! I was happy to find out that there was a Georgetown Cupcake store here in NY! I watch the show D.C. Cupcakes, so it was fun to go and see. The shop was so cute and I really liked the chocolate cupcake! I had a lot of fun just talking with my mom and watching HGTV with her. I'm so glad she got to see Weston for a little while. It's really hard not being by family. John's parents arrive on Wednesday morning for John's graduation. I'm looking forward to that as well. Weston loves to be out and about luckily.
