Today we went on another tour with John and his classmates. This time it was a tour of The Parliament. We had to go through high security before we entered and we had to get name tag with our pics on them. I even got searched! Too funny… Connected to the Parliament building is BIG BEN. This is a very famous place that congress men and women go to. It was in Westminster Hall, The House of Lords, and The House of Commons. It is a very, very, very old building. The main Hall in Westminster was built in 1099! This is the only area still standing from it’s original build. They did replace the roof about 300 years ago, which is the largest of its kind in the world! The rest of the additions were added about 100 years ago. Our tour guide was hilarious with his cute British humor and we had a great time! They don’t let you take pics on the inside, inside, just in the main entrance. So we took pics of what we could ...

(Thinking about Westminster Hall) Isn't it so weird to think that you're standing in a building that's over 900 years old?? Coming from the US, it's so hard to think of buildings being more than 200 years old. It hurts my brain.
Wow - those were some gorgeous pictures. I can't imagine how cool it must be in person. Your camera takes really good pictures. I need to get a new one. I hate the way everybody but us does the date backwards. Yuck.
