On Friday morning we drove down to Vegas with John's mom and little sister. John's grandparent's both had their 80th birthday, so it was a special occasion and we went there to celebrate with them! On Saturday afternoon we went up the canyon to a picnic area about an hour away from John's aunt's house. It was kind of chilly but warmed up once the sun came out. The food was great and it was nice seeing all of John's family. Right before we wanted to leave it started to rain and hail! We hurried outta there so fast. It was hilarious. Happy birthday to John's grandparents! Thanks for driving Debbie! ; ) We were glad we could come!

What cute grandparents! And what cute little serving bowls with the chips and crackers and grapes in them - I wish I had some like that. The food looked tasty - especially that cake. I've never seen anything like that - yum! Glad you guys got to have a little mini-vacation.
